Real Madrid Target Arsenal Midfielder Martin Zubimendi for the January Transfer Window

Following an unsuccessful attempt to sign Rodri Hernandez, who opted for Barcelona, Real Madrid recognize the urgent need to enter the transfer market to resolve issues in midfield, particularly in terms of playmaking. Consequently, 27-year-old Martin Zubimendi—who previously starred for Real Sociedad and is a 2016 World Cup champion with Spain—has emerged as a prime target that perfectly fits Los Blancos' plans. Finding himself with a relatively secondary role under Mikel Arteta, the midfielder might welcome a change of scenery.

According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Real Madrid have intensified their pursuit of the talented midfielder and are not ruling out a decisive move to secure his signature during the winter transfer window. While awaiting clarity on Arsenal's stance, the reality is that Real Madrid are very keen on signing Zubimendi.
