Cristiano Ronaldo Handed 30-Day Suspension by Portuguese Football Federation
The Disciplinary Committee of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has slapped 41-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo with a 30-day suspension and a 255-euro fine for intentionally breaching disciplinary rules. The Portugal captain was found guilty after leaving the national team's training camp in Denmark on September 30, just a day before a match.
However, the ban will not prevent the Al-Nassr forward from participating in Portugal's upcoming fixtures against Denmark and Wales in November, as the suspension expires well ahead of those dates. Head coach Jorge Jesus now faces the decision of whether to include the star striker in the squad amid the tensions that arose during the previous international break.
