Lyon Climbs to the Top of Ligue 1 Following Victory Over Nice

By defeating Nice at the Groupama Stadium, Lyon moved to the top of the Ligue 1 table on goal difference, finishing a league matchday as leaders for the first time since January 2021. Head coach Paulo Fonseca successfully rotated his squad, making eight changes from their Europa League win over Crystal Palace, and the team secured the victory despite playing a portion of the match with ten men.

Despite reaching the summit and showing strong momentum, the club maintains a cautious approach. The team's immediate focus is entirely on their upcoming away fixture against Hoffenheim, leaving preparations for the highly anticipated clash against PSG at the Parc des Princes for later.
