Cesc Fabregas Responds to Links with Manchester United Manager Job Amid Pressure on Michael Carrick

Como manager Cesc Fabregas has admitted it would be "disrespectful" to comment on rumors linking him with the Manchester United job as pressure mounts on Michael Carrick. United are enduring their worst start to a domestic league campaign in 40 years, having won just two of their opening ten matches across all competitions.

While Old Trafford chiefs are not yet panicking, a decision on Carrick's future will loom quickly if results fail to improve. Alongside Fabregas, Brighton boss Fabian Hürzeler and former Newcastle manager Eddie Howe have also been linked with the vacancy. Ahead of Wednesday's Champions League fixture, both Como and Manchester United sit level on three points in the expanded table.
