AC Milan Considering Recalling Zakarie Athekame from Lyon Loan in January

Last summer, 21-year-old right-back Zakarie Athekame joined Olympique Lyonnais on loan from AC Milan. The Swiss defender has seamlessly adapted to the higher level of competition, establishing himself as a key player under manager Paulo Fonseca by starting nine of eleven official matches and contributing two goals and three assists.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Athekame's impressive development has caught Milan's attention, and the Rossoneri are reportedly considering bringing him back early when the winter transfer window opens. Athekame remains under contract with the Italian club until June 2030.
