Arsenal Prepared to Pay Over £100M for Julián Álvarez in January Transfer Window

During the summer transfer window, Arsenal heavily pursued a marquee striker, targeting Morgan Rogers (who joined Chelsea) and Vinicius Junior (who renewed with Real Madrid), while maintaining a long-standing interest in Atlético Madrid's Julián Álvarez. The Argentine forward had previously caused a stir by expressing a desire to leave, with Barcelona bidding 100 million euros before Atlético shut down negotiations. However, according to TEAMtalk, Álvarez has had a change of heart and is now open to joining the Emirates Stadium in January.

Arsenal is reportedly ready to bid over £100 million to bring the striker back to the Premier League, aided by strong club relations and Atlético's interest in several Arsenal players. Manager Mikel Arteta believes Álvarez's unique blend of technical skill and lethal goalscoring instinct makes him the missing piece to elevate the squad and significantly boost their chances of winning the Champions League.
