Tottenham Targets Antonio Rüdiger Amid Difficult Start Under Roberto De Zerbi

Despite a busy summer transfer window that saw the arrival of ten new players—including Andy Robertson, Sandro Tonali, Savinho, and Mykhailo Mudryk—Tottenham Hotspur is enduring a rough start to the season. Under manager Roberto De Zerbi, the North London club has failed to win any of its opening six Premier League games, has already exited the League Cup, and has struggled defensively by conceding 13 goals across all competitions.

With defensive frailties persisting and new arrivals like Marcos Senesi failing to fully convince, Tottenham is already eyeing reinforcements for 2027. According to Football Insider, Real Madrid star Antonio Rüdiger has emerged as a primary transfer target as his contract with the Spanish giants nears its expiration. While Saudi Arabian clubs are also monitoring the 34-year-old German defender, a move back to the Premier League could provide De Zerbi's struggling squad with vital experience, defensive stability, and leadership.
