Juventus Renews Pursuit of Lyon Left-Back Nicolás Tagliafico

Juventus has ramped up its efforts ahead of the winter transfer window by renewing its pursuit of 34-year-old Olympique Lyonnais left-back Nicolás Tagliafico, according to journalist Ekrem Konur. The Italian club previously came close to an agreement with the French side over the summer, but talks ultimately stalled. Now, the Turin-based club is eager to finalize the transfer to bolster their defensive options.

The Argentine World Cup winner is keen on a move to Serie A, though he has also been linked with Atlético Madrid. Tagliafico's contract situation in France is expected to facilitate a reasonable transfer fee. While the defender has played just 129 minutes across three matches this season due to injury, Juventus' sporting department is keen to secure his services so he is ready to contribute from the start of the new year.
