Manchester United Joins the Race for Roma's £50M Defender Wesley

Roma's 23-year-old Brazilian full-back Wesley has emerged as one of the most sought-after defenders in Europe, capturing the attention of Premier League giants Manchester United, Arsenal, and Newcastle United. Following his move from Flamengo in the summer of 2025, he quickly established himself under Gian Piero Gasperini, with Roma now valuing him between 50 and 60 million euros (up to £50.3 million).

Scouts have been deeply impressed by his athleticism, technical skill, elite mentality, and ability to play on either flank. For Manchester United, Wesley's profile aligns perfectly with the standards set by INEOS as they look to bring stability and increased competition to their fullback positions.
