Chelsea Monitoring Florian Wirtz's Situation at Liverpool on Xabi Alonso's Advice

Chelsea is keeping a close eye on Florian Wirtz's situation at Liverpool after Xabi Alonso urged the club's hierarchy to join the race should the German midfielder become available. While the Blues are not yet actively pursuing the 23-year-old, they have begun tracking his progress amid growing uncertainty surrounding his adaptation at Anfield. Alonso, who previously worked with Wirtz at Bayer Leverkusen, believes Chelsea should seize any opportunity to sign him.

Liverpool invested a staggering £116 million to bring Wirtz to the Premier League ahead of rival suitors, but his underwhelming performances have sparked serious debate. Although the Merseyside club remains keen for him to succeed, patience is wearing thin among pundits like Jamie Carragher, leaving open the possibility that difficult decisions may lie ahead if his impact does not improve.
