Espanyol Coach Manolo Gonzalez Addresses Rumors Regarding His Future at the Club

Espanyol head coach Manolo Gonzalez addressed media speculation concerning his potential dismissal if the team fails to secure a positive result in Santander. The Catalan manager reacted calmly to the pressure, noting that he has felt his position under threat for almost his entire tenure, aside from the stellar first half of the previous campaign.

Gonzalez emphasized that he fully understands the club's high expectations and always prioritizes Espanyol above himself. Nevertheless, the coach confirmed that he currently senses no immediate danger to his job, maintaining the full backing of both the players and the club hierarchy.
