Dani Carvajal Explains Getafe Move and Real Madrid Exit in Cadena SER Interview

Experienced 34-year-old right-back Dani Carvajal has opened up about his recent decision to join Getafe and his departure from Real Madrid in an interview with Cadena SER. Carvajal revealed that his move to Getafe was largely an emotional choice, driven by a desire to regain regular playing time and recapture the joy of football following a couple of injury-plagued seasons. 

While lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia were on the table, personal circumstances and caution regarding the region led him and his family to rule out a move to the Middle East. Instead, he chose Getafe to stay close to home and embrace a fresh motivational challenge. Addressing his exit from Santiago Bernabeu, Carvajal explained that his role progressively diminished following his return from arthroscopic surgery, leading the club and his representatives to mutually agree on a departure. He also clarified that while he did not have direct personal conversations with manager Alvaro Arbeloa about his reduced minutes, he consistently respected all technical decisions and maintained a professional attitude throughout.
