However, a 200 million euro summer investment in Sandro Tonali and Matheus Fernandes has reduced the 26-year-old midfielder to a secondary role, featuring in just six Premier League matches with only two starts. 

According to Fussball News, Aston Villa, Everton, and Leeds United are monitoring the English midfielder, whose box-to-box style fits their tactical needs. Despite interest and a lack of regular starts under Roberto De Zerbi, a departure remains unlikely as the manager values him as an important and unique tactical option off the bench.
