Trabzonspor Rejecting Approaches for Chibuike Nwaywu Amid Premier League Interest

Standing at 1.93 meters tall, 23-year-old Nigerian central defender Chibuike Nwaywu has established himself as a defensive cornerstone for Trabzonspor following his arrival in January 2026. His stellar performances as part of the club's ambitious sporting project—which also features Mohamed Salah—have quickly caught the eye of suitors from the English Premier League.

According to insider Ekrem Konur, Crystal Palace and Fulham are both keen on securing his signature in January. However, Trabzonspor previously turned down bids worth 20-25 million euros in the summer, and with his contract running until 2030, head coach Muhammed Alpdündar insists the club will not entertain offers below 30 million euros.
