Manchester United Forced to Look Elsewhere as Dominic Calvert-Lewin Nears New Leeds Contract

Strengthening the attack has become a top priority for Manchester United in the upcoming winter transfer window due to Benjamin Sesko's recurring injuries and Joshua Zirkzee's unconvincing performances, regardless of Michael Carrick's managerial future. England international Dominic Calvert-Lewin (29) had emerged as the primary target after scoring five goals in 10 matches for Leeds United this season.

However, this option appears to be fading. According to BBC journalist Simon Stone, Calvert-Lewin is very close to reaching an agreement on a contract extension with Leeds United. Although his current deal was set to run until 2028, the striker has found an ideal environment at Elland Road and intends to commit his future to the Whites.
